I've got to say that coming to Melbourne was seriously one of the best choices I've made in my life. I knew I was in for challenges, life-changing experiences without a doubt, thing's that'll either make or break me. They say it's not the load that weighs you down but the way you carry it. Quiet times, and time alone really got me thinking alot. Different viewpoints and perspectives I gained from the different personalities I see in people.

No one's got a passport to life, you got to walk through every single bit of it, even if you're wincing in agony, going through tumultous periods or having the time of your life.

Sometimes, I may appear to be somewhat naive to people, simple in my thinking. It's not that I think too simply, but I choose to believe that there's good in everyone. Your demeanour and personality all determine what type of person you're going to be, but change is the only constant and people change.

I want to look back at my studying years and smile, and not reminisce them with regrets abounding in my head.

Maybe I have really judged you wrongly.

But I still hold on to my simple principle, and I would like to believe that there's good in everyone, be it a morsel or as tiny like a mustard seed.

Some hot chocolate to soothe those frantic nerves and uptight feelings.
Please think about what you have done, and not wallow into that abyss of self-deception, cos' it's really pathetic and hurting.

Self-denial is not a remedy, it's merely a temporary pass that might not even suffice.

Life in Melbourne feels different. Don't know if there's something void in my life yet but I sure hope for it to get more interesting as each day passes. It's pretty much slow paced here and there's just ample time for you to dwell on your thoughts.

I will never forget that scene at the airport. The decision I've made to come to Melbourne. For now, I don't know if it's the best decision I've made, but I'm sure it's gonna be a life-transforming one. I hope the exposure and different experiences which I will gain throughout the course of my 3 years study d would change some of my perspectives on life and turn me into a stronger person than before.

I am really grateful for friends who take time off of their busy schedules to come see me off at the airport. It's good that you guys cherish this friendship of ours :)

I like how simple things can make my day. Astons with Andrea, Amelia, Gwenlyn, Leeying and Zoots, which seemed like an endless wait, followed by yummy rochor tau huay with crispy fried dough fritters which tasted so good!

Sometimes, we get so overwhelmed by the seemingly more important things revolving our lives that we fail to pay attention to the small little things. I have been thinking quite a lot recently, about things that I will not usually think about during the course of my study life. Too much time on hand now, good or bad?

The rainy weather got me thinking
I want to open an indie cafe along a corner of a small little street, serve deserts like macaroons and cakes with tea to my customers. I want customers to always feel relaxed and good in my small little shop tucked away in the corner of a small road. Then there'll be a small little corner where people are free to take polaroids from a fujifilm instax, for keepsake memories. That they'll feel life halting to a slower pace, think about the memorable happenings in their life, in the company of good music, food and nice ambience. No more hectic lifestyles, no more fast paced footsteps.

Sometimes I don't understand why but if thoughts could be pieced together to form words so easily, then there won't be feelings.

Did I mention I'm really addicted to bejewelled blitz? Can't find myself not playing a game of Bejewelled Blitz everyday. Oh my, these one minute facebook games are a menace!
I'm excited for saturday! Finally a break from Singapore and going off to the Land of Smiles to unwind and chillax, which is something I've been yearning for a long time ever since school started. Zhu ting was right, the rigour of college life is never to be underestimated until it is experienced!

Anyway, going to the Land of Smiles makes me all hyped up! But I want this holiday to be different, to veer from those typical holidays of eat shop play sleep. I want to be able to do some self-reflection along this trip, to have some quiet moments to think.

But on a sad note, I didn't manage to attend SLC, something which I'm still feeling very sore about till now. Sore throat and cough are really some of the worse ailments one can be down with during the holidays, especially when it's nearing something fun that you wish to go for. And so I've spent the past few days recovering at home. On a sidenote, did I mention I'm really addicted to Bejewelled Blitz? Can't find myself not playing a game or two of Bejewelled Blitz each time I switch on my computer. These one minute games are really a menace, can't imagine myself getting hooked on to Bejewelled Blitz, much less Cafe World. Talk about turning seventeen soon. And so, my few days spent at home recovering have more or less turned to maintaining my imaginary cafe on Cafe World.

I'm excited for the month of December. But put fun aside, time for some serious work now.

First up, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL! :D

Anyway, holidays felt like they just zoomed past in a flash. Met up with 4A girls on 17th march. Man, it feels so good to see all of them! Celebrated vivien, amelia and supposedly rachel's birthdays, plus zoots' super belated 17th b'day at waraku. I love the pasta there, how they fuse western with jap style. I definitely wouldn't mind going back for more

KCJ and I got the help of the staff there to help us surprise the march babies and zoots! They dimmed the lights and SURPRISE

KCJ's brownie cake is really very tasty! (KCJ I'M CRAVING FOR YOUR BROWNIE CAKE AND YOUR MOTHER'S PASTA NOW!) 18th April, party at your house ah hahah! :D

Everything has been happening so quickly, in the blink of an eye, in a flash. Looking back, I really miss AHS, my friends and teachers. It was really 4 years of a fufilling and great secondary school life there.

Long time since I've updated, shall start with 4A's ice skating which was way way back haha.

I REALLY MISS 4A!

Next up was CNY, when all the cousins met up and it was like a gathering for the young and old.

TJ orientation was fun, especially mass dance at suntec & onight! DaekaronOG 16 and cool og mates and ogls. Not to forget cg12/09, my current cg with hilarious ppl :D

Caught up with Perle,Rachel,CJ,SK, Jia Jie, Hexian and Suhuai on vday where Rachel invited us over to her cousin's b'day party. Played molly and it was rlly fun! :D I can't wait for march hols when I can meet up with the rest of the 4A girls!

Met Rachel & Suhuai on my way hme on thurs. The feeling to see familiar faces from ahs, what's more good friends, is :D.

And my body clock's really screwed, woke up at 5 plus in the morning today. Wanted to watch slumdog millionaire on my laptop but realised the movie only has sounds with a blank screen lol. Used the com for a while before I headed to macs to complete my hw and went home to sleep again.

2009 with a blast!

Wednesday night was countdown with 4A classmates to kickstart the new year! Squeezing through the endless crowd of people till we ended up forming human chains, singing like we're monks chanting and doing hilarious stuff like twitching our mouths when we got bored. I'm glad my last night of 2008 was spent with doses of fun and madness injected in. This year's countdown was somewhat similar to last year's in the sense that we didn't manage to find an ideal spot to countdownbut nonetheless it was still very fun! Last few minutes of 2008 was spent running around at Central, Clarke Quay amidst crowds, trying to locate Central Square for our countdown. Everyone was in a frenzy! And so when 10,9,8,7, we still haven't found Central Square. So when, 5,4,3,2,1... we just stood at some random spot and joined in the countdown lol. Before you knew it, everyone was spraying those foam like stuff to usher in the new year!

2008 has been an eventful year I must say though most of it revolved round Olevels, the long wait for O's to begin, mugging with friends for O's and the anticipation for it to be over soon. But Olevels hasn't made 2008 any duller. With wonderful times spent with great friends, birthday celebrations, emotional moments, 2008 is definitely not a year spent in haste or in waste.

Meanwhile, I have a strong urge to bake now. Macaroons and chocolate malteser cake! And top it off with a main course, tasty linguine in creamy sauce(: Oh yes, now I know my new year resolution : to stop procrastinating!

I await a fresh and exciting 2009.

Just a few days ago, I was taken aback when my cool friends came over to my place to surprise me on my birthday with lots of FOOD! To my fantabulous friends, arigatou! And thanks to all for the birthday wishes (:

Getting very excited to kickstart the race, reading our first clue. Didn't know what we're gonna get ourselves into next!

25th Hohoho Merry X'mas Day, was Perle's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PERLE! We went to her place early in the morning to give her a surprise by kidnapping her! The plan turned awry and Perle woke up. so moral of the story is : we're not exactly suited to be kidnappers ! :D

we tried to kidnap her but perle put up a strong fight and woke up with a classic "you all siao ah!"

26th-29th was class chalet at aloha loyang. Attendance wasn't that good, what's more the chalet was kinda big and roomy and lacked the cosy feeling. Nevertheless, great company still made up for it! Had bbq on the 2nd night and Mr Yow came and even helped us start the fire. Seriously it's one of the best bbqs i've ever had, tasty chicken wings, roasted chewy marshmallows dipped in chocolate, hot toasted garlic bread dipped in creamy chicken mushroom soup, bread pudding and so much more! Played asshole taidi after that where KCJ, Amelia, Perle & I started thinking of all sorts of themes to replace all the different rankings. We thought of hotel/soccer team/icecream/schools and many other funny themes! Went for night cycling to changi beach later on with Amelia, Xinling, SK & Jz. Few narrow escape moments when I nearly crashed into the lampost and flew out of my bike, when I was cycling down those steep slopes and when I cycled out into the main road but still phew!

K-boxed on the 3rd day which was an exorbitant cost of $26.50. $24 for 4 bowls of tidbits and the need to pay for an extra person when there were only 13 people got us fuming. In the end, the staff gave us 2hrs extra singing time which was not too bad!

Countdown later on with the rest! We shall rock the last night of 2008 away and welcome the brand new year with energy and vigour! :D

Taiwan trip was a fantastic and unforgettable one. Wanying's hospitable family, friendly and nice people that we met in Taiwan, and not to forget big chicken chops, oyster omelettes, bubble tea (that's way nicer than the ones sold in sg)have really made my Taiwan trip.

Flew off with KCJ two days right after the O's to taiwan. Before that, SK, JZ & Xinling came to send us off at the airport. A big thank you to you guys and also those whom sent us bon-voyage messages before we left, arigatou!

We reached taiwan at around 6 plus in the evening but the sky was so dark that one would've thought that it was 7plus already.

The rest of the night was spent shopping around Jing Mei night market where we got some really good bargains! Had 甜不辣 , oyster omelette and smelly doufu for dinner! Bubble tea tasted great because of the soft chewy pearls! But smelly doufu had this overwhelming stench which totally stank!

Day 2: Ximending!

Lunch at Toilet Restaurant where we met NS men who were in Taiwan for their training. Anyway, I thought the idea of a toilet restaurant was quite ingenious.

Went to Green Light Forest, this sheep farm which was also the filming site for the drama,

Last stop at Shilin Night Market for taiwan street snacks! Absolutely loved that food street! Think Bubble tea, oyster omelettes, oyster mee sua, da bing bao xiao bing, huge chicken chop and many more!

Wu Mama brought us to pizza hut for our last meal in taiwan.

All in all, it was really an unforgettable taiwan trip and one of the best overseas trip I've had with my friends other than the shanghai trip 2 years back. The friendly commuters, tasty street snacks, wanying's hospitable family, and not to forget SINGTAIMA are some of the things that really made my taiwan trip!

Big thanks to wanying's mom who was so thoughtful, taking such good care of us and bringing us to so many fun places in Taiwan so that we would have a jolly good time in Taiwan!

Last Friday was awesome. Cable ski-ing with Amelia,CJ and Perle. It was an altogether totally exciting and thrilling experience. And it was an eye-opener watching those professionals do their cool tricks, all the back flips and stuff. Everyone there's quite funny, always going like "Hey Bro! So what trick are you planning to learn today?" & Amelia thought she spotted this guy who looked pretty much like Ron Ng but....... it was when she wasn't wearing her glasses. So after wearing her glasses, no more Ron Ng. Haha, must be optical illusion.

Then Mon after our final Physics paper, Amelia, CJ, Perle, Yi Ern & I went to fep. We went to this pretty cool desert shop and tried some of their delectable deserts which was quite different from the norm. But the boss of the shop didn't do much to conceal his business tactics, kept on telling us that "You've not tried the best yet, the best is still..." Then I jokingly told the rest, "By the time we walk out of this shop, I think we've tried all their deserts already".

Haven't been updating for quite some time. So I shall do a quick recap of everything.

First up, Xinling & Legend's B'day Celebration

Our mango birthday suprise for Xinling turned out great! Andrea helped switch Xinling's ringtone to the sesame street birthday song & thn whn I called her phone, the b'day song played and Cj, Perle & I walked in with e mango together with the rest singing the b'day song :D

Next up was our part II b'day celebration for our lovely July babies at ehub. We suprised them with blueberry cheese tarts as our b'day cake for them plus candles that couldn't be blown out as they came out from the lift! This time, there were quite a number of loopholes here and there which could not escape Legend's great scrutinizing observing power.

Much has happened during June and I shall let pictures speak their thousand words this time.

First up, retail therapy with Perle, CJ, Amelia, Xinling, Yiern and Wanying. Fruitful one with delicious food to jazz it up. All the walking and rushing here and there to get stuff really sapped us of our energy. But nevertheless, it was a fruitful one with delicious food to jazz it up and make up for the rushed trips back and forth. Haha, and I accidentally leaked out something with a slip of my tongue, right Perle? :D

Then there was outing with BATH where we had a great time catching up with one another. All the neoprinting, shopping and chit chatting was the best! Went to Bugis Junction and thought that we could pamper our tastebuds at n.y.d.c or elsewhere but ended up having our lunch and dinner at the same place. Haha, budget saving meals I must say. Vitamin M, who asked you to disappear so fast ah? You should multiply and grow in numbers! :D But anyway, thanks for all the fun and laughter, ATH(: You guys make wonderful company!

Lastly there was CJ's b'day & we planned a surprise for her. Ok, maybe not a surprise cos she dashed out to look for us the moment she saw her present. Poor b'day girl, she was greeted by "AYE YOU SPOILER LEH!" the moment she saw us hiding at the staircase. We were actually preparing to light up the candles on her cake and give her a surprise. Who would predict that not long after xinling pressed the doorbell, left the present outside and ran away, the pikpiak sound of slippers would follow. That's seriously the last sound we were hoping to hear, lol. But a surprise is still a surprise and CJ was beaming as bright as a megawatt bulb for the whole day :D

Sang our hearts out at K-box after that. And our birthday girl treated us to cakes from secret recipe!

Fast forward to last friday when Perle and I went to Cj's house after Amaths & Bio paper. Wasn't really in the mood to study after two long tiring papers and so we found ourselves doing some random stuff which turned out to be pretty interesting. Was looking thro Cj's BAZAAR mag when Cj started teaching us how to pronounce certain fashion labels and french words. And so we went to the internet to google for more of them and found these pretty interesting ones which really made us go like "WOAH"!

And under heavy influence of how our geog txtbk usually sorts out and organizes chunks of info, we came up with indicators which determine how vulgar a vulgarity. Think intonation and language.

Finally, five days back which put a temporary stop first to all our monotonous days when our robot engines were somehow tuned to do papers, one after another. Went to marina square with Amelia, Zhuting, Andrea and Wanying first, thn met up with Perle, Xinling and Vivien later on. Sakae was satisfying, but probably too satisfying, as all of us were really full after the buffet lunch. But I liked the ambience, sitting on cushions on the floor by long wooden tables. The manager there was friendly and had pretty humorous too. Good service, wonderful ambience and great company pretty much sums up that eventful wednesday.

Sunday was a fully-packed day, tiring but very enjoyable! Went with Amelia to her church for service in the morning, then headed to downtown east with the rest of her church friends for lunch. Wanted to go to Escape but dark clouds didn't allow so, so we ended up cycling in pasir ris park. After that, Zoots, Yulin and I went to Mr Chua's bbq. And so this pretty much sums up a well-spent Sunday :D

Don't know why but I've this sudden urge to pick up guitar again. It's time to put my rusty guitar that I've got for my birthday present to good use. Can't wait to learn some new stuff after O's.

Finally finished crashing the new tvb series, the seventh day. I must say the storyline's quite a fresh & interesting one. & if you haven't watched it yet, I would highly recommend it to you. In short, this drama revolves around "chance encounters", "same birth but different fate" and "finding a true heart as the greatest love of all". Part of the show was filmed in hokkaido which had an absolutely paranomic scenery, totally stunning & breathtaking! It would be great if I can spend my holidays there, just cast stuff like O'levels aside first and embask in the wonderful works of mother nature coupled with winter's handiworks.

Dinner after cca today at ljs :D There's finally an answer to my constant cravings for the cheese-dipped fries with mayo-chilli sauce at ljs ever since the start of this week. & fun shall be the epitome of sunday.

Yesterday was one of those Saturday nights when I didn't feel like doing anything. So I decided to let my mind take a break after the endless week of studying and indulged in my subway double choc cookies as I laid on the sofa and watched Alex & Emma which happened to be the saturday night stay home movie. Turned out to be pretty interesting. The story basically revolves around this guy, Alex,a genius writer, who had to rush a new novel out in 30 days so he can hand the manuscript to his boss and receive his paycheck back in time to payback the cuban mafias. As his laptop got smashed by the cuban mafias, he was in desperate need of a stenographer to help him transcribe his words on to paper and so Emma (played by Kate Hudson) was hired to do the job. The movie is somehow like a story-within-a-story when the film moves from Alex's world to the subject of Alex's novel, and when some parts of his novel actually come true in his present real life. That's when life parallels fiction, I guess. Not too bad a romantic comedy I would say. Shall end off with some funny dialogues from the movie

It's about a rabbit who got too hot

In the Great Heat, the animals were all droopy. And Sikyatavo, Rabbit, was worst of all. His fur was matted with red dirt from the desert. His eyes were so dry they burned. He wanted to teach the Sun a lesson. So Rabbit went off to the edge of the world where every morning, Sun came up. He practiced with his bow and arrow the whole way. But when he got there, Sun had left the sky. Rabbit thought that was cowardly, but he decided to wait for Sun to return the next day. Sun,though, had seen Rabbit practicing and decided to have a little fun with him. Back in those days, you see, Sun didn't come up slowly like he does now. He'd burst into the sky with one leap. So the next day, Sun rolled far away from where he usually jumped into the sky and than leaped up. By the time Rabbit got his bow and arrow together, Sun was already so high he couldn't be touched. Rabbit stamped his foot and shouted, but Sun only laughed.

One morning, Sun got careless. He jumped more slowly than usual, and Rabbit's arrow plunged into his side. Rabbit was delighted! He'd shot the Sun! But when he looked up again he saw how flames bled from the wound. Suddenly the whole world seemed to be on fire. Rabbit went to a cottonwood and a greasewood tree, but neither one would hide him- they were too afraid of being burned to a crisp. Suddenly he heard a voice calling to him: "Sikyatavo! Under me! Hurry!" It was a small green bush with flowers like cotton. Rabbit ducked beneath it, just as the flames leaped over the bush. Everything crackled and hissed, and than went quiet. The earth all around was black and burnt, but the fire was gone. And the little bush that had saved Rabbit wasn't green anymore, but a deep yellow. Even today, that kind of bush grows green, and than turns yellow when it feels the Sun.

As for Rabbit, he was never the same. He has brown spots on his fur, from where the fire burned him. And he's not so tough anymore, you know. He runs away and hides, instead of putting up a fight. Sun isn't the same, either. He makes himself so bright that no one can look at him long enough to shoot straight.

Caught leap years with perle, janice, jj, sk & louis today. I find the storyline not bad, just that the ending could be more well developed and certain details should be given more explanation. Intriguing plot and I'm determined to go read the book to find out what's the actual story like.

Really enjoyed myself a lot today and I think there's just so much I can blog about, so much excitement, happiness and joy that I can't contain till now. The day cannot merely be described in words for words can't be the master of one's feelings and thoughts but I'll still like to thank all of you for this wonderful 11thMarch08' :D

Supposed to meet up with Cj, Yiern & Perle in the morning but the two early birds decided to fly off to their destination first, leaving me to wait for Perle. And Perle ended up taking e wrong train which reminds me of the other time when i took the wrong train with Amelia too, haha. We were supposed to train back to tampines pasir ris that side but suddenly in the midst of the train ride, we were underground which made me realise that we're definitely travelling in the wrong direction cos you'll nvr end up underground when you're travelling back to pasir ris. So that's what you'll get when you put 2 blur actually-not-that-blur) people together, haha.

So met up with Cj & Yiern at kuishinbo and we got the help of the staff there to assist us with our suprise-the-march-babies plan. Went toysaurus for a a short while to relive childhood memories & kill time. Than went back to kuishinbo and sat there for quite a long while, waiting for the grand arrival of the rest. We really couldn't resist the temptation of the food all laid out waiting for us to feast on them, so we........... AIYAH JUST SHARED A DRINK FIRST LAH! Wah, and when the rest finally reached, it was like dream come true for us for we can finally feast!

The food was really wonderful! I guess all the avid fans of jap food amongst us really enjoyed it :D All the unagi,salmon,shabu-shabu,tempura and more sinful delectable deserts, MAMA-MIA! I think at the start right, me and yiern only bothered about unagi, salmon and more unagi and salmon. Their salmon so good you can taste the freshness in your mouth coupled with the unagi which tasted so great, my, it was HEAVEN! Than there was shabu shabu which had a nice soup base but a tad too unhealthy as it was all MSG-laden. The deserts were the best! I like the green tea mochi, the tarts and the cocoa puffs which has a burst of chocolate each time you bite into them, and not to forget my all time favourite: salmon and unagi. In the end, all of us ate till our stomachs were like swelling and we were really full and bloated after that. But I guess we were all satisfied with our bountiful highly satisfying meal :D Kuishinbo was a great choice after all! (Minus out the part when the staff kept on walking past our tables, with his charcoal black face as if we incurred his wrath or something)

An action speaks a thousand words

Fastforward to after the buffet meal when we walked about and did some window shopping. Aids in digestion huh, but we still felt quite full. Walked around till zoots, amelia, rachel & I decided to chill at this cool resting area. It was really quite funny __-_____ there. I bet one of the staff working at the shop opposite was trying his very best to contain his laughter too. And there was this ultimate candid shot which we took accidentally. (But no no, definitely cannot post it out!)

Took somemore photos at this indoor mini laser-fountain before we headed off to Gelare for half-priced waffles!! But felt quite cheated for the half-priced waffles do not include any scoop of ice-cream. Than it was quite funny yet irritating at the same time as the staff there got our orders all mixed up not once but a couple of times.

Hearts all over the world tonight

Speed to the last part which was also the best ending to close the day. Went to the fountain of wealth to celebrate the march babies' birthdays. Used donuts in replacement of a b'day cake and we lighted up each of the donuts with a candle. My, it was a pretty sight! When the march babies' came in together with andrea, we sang them their b'day song! And than we sat down in a circle and feasted on our donuts. The best part came when cj and andrea made song dedications and all of us listened earnestly to the dj as she read their message for the b'day kia :D Wanted to dedicate Happy Birthday by Click Five initially but they didn't have that, so ended up with The Birthday Song by Corinne May and the second one was Over You.

Zi-highed in the end and started humming piano tunes with cj and janice and singing all the nice chinese sentimental hits with janice . Must hit k-box next time! The train ride back home seemed pretty short after all with all the talking, laughing and singing of sensational eng oldies hits! How I wished that the train ride could be longer(: To all of you, thanks for the memories today, all the fun times and laughter! It'll be an unforgettable date (11-03-08) which will unfold more of itself down the years.

Caught L changed the world on Thursday night together with Perle, Vivien, Janice Zoots and Xinling. Initially, I was more keen on watching Leap Years but decided to go with the flow. In the end, L changed the world turned out to be this fantastic movie which had an intriguing plot and it made my Thursday night. Next up on my must-watch list is definitely Step Up 2.

The long awaited holidays are finally here. I guess this is the time when I must make studying my hobby and nothing else.

I knw this feeling is weird but I feel like staying in a caravan and just movie marathon the whole day long on my psp.

CNY was awesome this year, with never-ending rounds of banluck which everyone never ever got tired of and bonding with cousins. Sometimes, I really wish time could come to a standstill, a halt and let all the good moments be relived again. Of course, such a thing will never happen. If time really decides to stop one day, the words "history" and "cherish" will hold different meanings and so their true meaning will be lost too.

Haha, enough of the emo talk. I guess no words could really express this fantastic cny that I had. The delirious feelings of joy that still lingers within my heart like an aftertaste of a food that you've tried. Late night suppers were the best I guess! On the second last night, we went to this nearby dimsum place. Not very appetizing food for their fishballs tasted like soap! ): But the teh tarik really kept me awake! Our last night was spent at this nearby happening area. Kind of chaotic and smoky the area was with the pubs and all but the atmosphere was there. Two jugs of beer and bottoms down! :D

Watched kung fu dung with Amelia & Andrea on wednesday. Cool show it turned out to be! I must say Jay never fails to surprise me! & I think we were the only ones who smuggled tori-q in :D

Saturday was leadership conference which was kinda time consuming but thank god there were interesting speakers like mr martin tan! I think the way he perceives things is really interesting and he's a good speaker who can capture the attention of audience very well! Ethics coupled with some philosophy can turn out quite interesting too!

Shall end off with something interesting that he shared with us:

Really happy now, feels like floating on cloud nine :D Anyway, have been procrastinating for a long long time about wanting to blog and now finally here I am, listing down the events and happenings that made 2007 end on a happy note!

Haha, I know I'm really lagging but still I'll relive all the wonderful memories. 2007 was a great year with lots of unforgettable times. Drill camp & bonding camp showed me the unity in our batch. Seriously when everyone was so tensed up as we waited for the results.

GB Farewell was really a success which willl not be made possible without the hard work and effort that everyone contributed. A WALK TO REMEMBER it definitely is. Our star awards performance, the unique way of serving the food to our seniors and everything else, I'll definitely remember it.

Than there's the bangkok trip with the family which was wonderful with the shopping loot and all the sight-seeing and of course time spent together with the family. Thailand's really this wonderful country and definitely the land of smiles. People there are really friendly and they never fail to wear a smile on their face. The feeling of seeing happy people everwhere you go is so great! Perhaps, we don't have much people smiling on the streets in S'pore. (But sounds logical too, if not people would think you're loony & probably send you to woodbridge) Though we had problems with communication, they were really nice to put in their effort to communicate with us with all the funny sign language thrown in. Food, needless to say, was great! Swensens was half price there!!! Their mango with glutinous rice desert is a must try and we even had tomyam for every meal! & I love their sexy hot pink and green taxis! Really hope I get the chance to go back there again!

Than there was x'mas party at margaret jie's house which was awesome with a whole lot of fun with all the delicious food. Chestnut stuffing & sushi was bagus! Gift-xchange & taboo were hilarious with all the screaming and the element of surprise. Before that, we even went to make our DIMSUM DOLLIES jerseys, WOOHOO!

Lastly, there's the new year countdown 2008 at downtown east. Chionged holiday hw with the rest earlier in the day first before we had dinner at swensens. Their apple crumble really rocks socks with the hot butterscotch that blends never better than any other sauce together with the apple crumble. & there's the funny manager there called JIMMY! We took a long time deciding where to go for countdown. Initially at the mrt, we were comtemplating between vivo and downtown east. Then I even whipped out my slipper for them to toss to make a decision! The mrt also came at the wrong timing when we were deciding where to head to and it got us all so fickle and undecisive. But eventually, we were still for downtown east. Went there and it was bursting and crammed full with people. Met MP there too. Ended up counting down in the queue and we zi-highed in the marquee for a short while.

Batch dinner just now after meeting together with the rest of the sec4s. Really happy with the 20 girls intake today and I guess the happiness everyone of us feels is undescribable. It's like all the hard work and effort that everyone of us has put in has all paid off. & With the passing of camps and all the holiday events that we had planned, I came to a realization that we can go through anything as a batch. Sometimes, I really wish that time could come to a standstill or I could just turn back the hands of the clock and make time freeze.

Something random but I can't wait to get to try BOTAKJONES one day! Haha, and I shall end off my post with this equation : supervisor + chicken = chelsia! :D

Last Saturday

Out with grace ytd for our long awaited food hunt. Oh man, the food we ate really cost us bombs! But it's definitely worth the money and all. Imagine paying 3 plates of desert for $34.80. Saturday's dinner could really be defined as sheer sinful indulgence which burnt irrepairable holes in our pockets. :D Trained down to orchard and our initial plan was to go dine at this place called Steeple's Deli which received excellent comments from those who had went there at yum.sg . Unfortunately, we spent quite a long time figuring out where tanglin mall is and knowing that the restaurant closes at 6.30, we decided to abandon our fine plans for dinner and that brought us to n.y.d.c cafe. Despite the unfriendly and harsh comments this restaurant received on yum.sg , both of us personally found that the food was quite good, served in big generous portions and definitely on our come-back-again-list. Found their menu really interesting with their wide variety of drinks with cute kinky names and other oven delights at quite reasonable prices. We tried their baked rice and love potion which turned out to be eggcelent! (When soda meets cream) And the taste of baked rice certainly brought my craving for baked rice these few days, to a stop. Wanted to try their mudpies which looked so appealing when described in the menu with names like jedi’s master but both of us decided to leave room for more delicious cakes at bakerzin.

And man, we were definitely not wrong! Bakerzin was the best! Tucked in a small corner in paragon, it served excellent French pastries which were delicately prepared. That meal alone I guess was the bomb of the day. We had their baked apple tart, warm chocolate cake and this bailey’s irish cream soufflé. No words could describe how tasty it was. Man, you really got to try it for yourself! Upon tasting the first mouthful of all these desserts, it was like floating in heaven . Exaggerated it may sound, but you’ve really got to give it a shot. Their baked apple tart which is Bakerzin’s signature dish is by far , the best apple desert I’ve ever tried. The pastry gets crispier with every bite, and with fresh apple slices donned on top, this tart has a tinge of sweet and sour with its pastry and apple slices and tastes even better with vanilla icecream served. Upon tasting the first bite of the warm chocolate cake, the chocolate goodness just spills out like a fountain and it’s best when you have a small bite of the cake together with the vanilla icecream. It’s really the perfect blend of hot and cold together with just the right soft texture of the chocolate cake. Lastly, the bailey’s irish cream soufflé turned out to be not too bad too. Something fresh and different for our tastebuds. First bite was not too bad with a tinge of bitterness that the bailey brought about but disappointingly, the consequent bites made us quite gelat . But the frothy, fluffy texture of the soufflé made it quite worth trying.

Bakerzin and its cakes definitely reminded me of the drama, gateau affairs, which I just finished recently. Know I’m lagging once again but this drama has got to be on my must-recommend list.

And I had a really funny dream last night. Dreamt that I helped out as Jay Chou’s assistant for his preparations for the concert. And weirdly enough, a piano appeared in my dream. Sat down and started playing. Then I saw myself telling Jay, “hmm, the piano keys are really hard” And jay replied “no, it’s okay once you get used to it.” Then he just started playing one of the pieces in my piano book. After that, we began walking about, seeing to the preparations for his concert. Than he asked me how tall I was. “167”, I said. Than he popped another question, “Guess how tall I am?”
“180 ? 183?”
“No. Guess again”
(Ok, here comes the weirdest part ) “187, that’s my favourite number”
“Yes, you’ve guessed it right.” (Definitely the weirdest, how can Jay be so tall????? )

Funny and weird it may seem but this has got to be my best dream ever! :D

Caught up with Chai Jia, Perle & Wanying ytd. Haven’t seen them for quite some time and it feels good to be able to catch up with them again :D Initially, we called along the other chiangrai dudes too but vivien lost her voice and amelia injured her leg ): Café cartel first, then neoprints next which I realized I haven’t took for ages, & lastly chilling out at macs. Haha, & the psp really spoils what’s meant to be a chit-chat session.

& On my way to the interchange, I saw crowds of people gathering near a corner of the Tampines open field. Being curious, I went forward and saw what many thought was an UFO. There was this disc revolving in the sky, which kept on blinking and changing lights. Called Perle quickly and guess what, she wasted 45 cents coming out front the mrt station cos’ the disc slowly moved down till it was covered by the buildings in front when she came. What a pity, but anyway, definitely something interesting!

School holidays are in again. Went to Janice's hse ytd where I learnt the game of mahjong through my 2 shifus, janice & sk. Turned out to be quite an interesting game which requires lots of focus and analytical skills. & Janice's brother has this amusing face which has the combination of both ah xin from wu yue tian & hui ge. (Picture that, quite amusing isn't it? :D)

Out with zoots and vivien last saturday. Vivien who was determined to prove that she wouldn't oversleep again turned up on time. It was zoots this time who overslept. Met vivien at pasir ris library first, then trained down to tampines to meet zoots.
As usual, we couldn't give in to the grumbling of our stomachs and all three of us decided to go grab a quick bite. Tough choice between changing appetites and carl's jnr. Settled for carl's jnr in the end cos' we got quite tempted by the huge juicy burgers there & also cos we didn't had much vitamin m at hand. Turned out to be quite an excellent choice. Vivien &Zoots also spotted their very charming man which had charisma like that of pierre png and looks of ashton kutcher. Before we left, zoots even wrote a short note which read something like this : "Hi Nelson, thanks for the good service." , hoping that he would take notice of it. But to our disappointment, he just cleared all the stuff on our tables and did not have a chance to read the note :(

Pub bbq on monday at Graci's place turned out to be really fun! (: Shall let pictures do the talking!

On tuesday, amelia & chai jia came to my place after school. 3 great minds brought together brings you the wonderful recipe of baked rice. Went to the nearby ntuc to get our ingredients for baked rice, then chased after the bus like some siao ding dongs. And there was chai jia who kept on psycho-ing amelia and I to buy fish fillet to include in the baked rice. Decided to listen to chai jia in the end & bought the fish fillet which turned out pretty good in baked rice. Thankfully, after a few rounds of "trial and error", our attempt at doing baked rice finally worked. Thanks amelia &cj for your help! When 3 great minds are brought together, we have nothing to fear(:

Wednesday was enterprise day. Our brownies and baked rice sold like hotcakes. Scurried to and fro from our baking place to our booth to sell baked rice which was just out from the oven, all piping hot and delicious! Not to forget delicious brownies which were so fudgy which the goey chocolate in between. Mama-mia! And then there was the milo van which we made multiple trips to to get many cups of milo(:

Thursday was sports enrichment which turned out to be not so bad. The mini competition between all the girls at the end of our self-defence lesson turned out to be quite an eye-opener on how rough and tough girls could get, with all the grabbing and pushing around. In short, we earned ourselves a chance to get wacked by people and also a chance to wack them back.

What a great feeling it is to be able to soothe my nerves, relax and dump all those feelings of anticipation, anxiety and apprehensiveness accumulated over the past few days, all away!

Time for sheer indulgence and enjoyment! (With yummy marshmallows in chocolate elixirs perhaps?? Or lemon crisps and english tea. :D:D)

Changing appetites after the exams was wonderful! Great food which made our bellies really full. & Seriously I think we're quite good at linkage in conversations. Somehow we could link from all the political stuff about taliban soldiers, hostages to mediacorp actors and actresses. What a wide coverage of themes! & then there's this (snape lookalike) waitress who came over to our table quite often to help us refill our drinks. & She sort of hinted for us to leave when she came over to refill our drinks for the last time. "Would you like to have your last round of drinks?" 3 plus hours in a restaurant with endless stuff to talk about. Good food calls for long talks with great companions (:

Hit lime flea market on saturday with amelia, perle & wan ying. Had to run to & fro for shelter from the rain. Had some old chang kee finger food before we left for our physics tuition. It was fun "camping" at our secret hideout in wisma atria to finish up our food, sort of a mini-picnic. Tried balls of fury and my, it was shiok and good! perfect to set your lips on fire. Kobayashi for dinner. My, I must learn to curb my "expenditure" on food if not there will be no end to it. Physics tuition was hilarious with the usual mr-sk-tan-tell-a-story-session.

I knw this is random but I've got this strong temptation to bake. Malteser cake, fudgy chewy brownies and lovely cupcakes,here I come!!!

The monday blues are back again. Everything seems like it has just whizzed past me. & realised I really got to curb my eating habits. Have been indulging in too much sinful food. I think this is a post to remind me of the fat-laden and far too sinful food I've been eating lately.

I know this is something random but prata tastes best on a saturday night :D

Watched secret with the family just now. Even though I'm watching it for the second time, I still think there's just something special about the movie which makes me want to watch it for the second time again, this time with more interest. Perhaps it's just the whole plot of the movie. And I really look forward to the piano scenes with Jay Chou playing the piano. He plays it with so much emotion and feeling poured in which makes even a simple tune sound so pleasant and soothing for the ears. To sum it up, it's good music coupled with a good pianist which makes an absolutely great movie for a Sunday evening movie choice.

The feeling of stepping back into civilisation after spending 4 nights in the realm of nature (ubin island) is really undescribable! I have so much to say that I don't know where to start from. Tired I may be, but I feel that I ought to commit these memories to my memory disc and just let all those unforgettable memories run through my head as I recall and think back about OBS again.

Battuta: Nafeeza, Elton, Wen Jie, Wei En, Yi Jun, Jin Feng, Jin Meng, Min Le, Eugene, Kelvin, Leona, Miao Qian, Juwel, Joey, Shuyi, Si Yun, Chai Jia, Fionna

Day 1: Gathered at punggol jetty before a boat ride to our campsite at ubin. After reaching our campsite, we were informed of the respective watches that we were in. Sat around in our watches and settled some admin stuffs & played some icebreaker games. Luxury food & items like sweets and our handphones were confiscated. We were also given a whole lot of food which is going to last us for 5 days. I was quite glad to see food like oreo biscuits, wafer sticks and some energy bars (: The rainy weather had us all sitting around waiting for the rain to stop before we could proceed on with our next activity. Later in the afternoon, we were taught capsize drill and t-rex rescue. It was really cool as we donned on our life vests and stepped into the cool clear waters. & there was also salt water entering our mouths each time our boats capsized when we did capsize drill. Not to forget about the heavy kayaks which we had to carry up to shore later on. (Oh my, I could feel my back giving way anytime) Then, it was pitching tents and cooking later in the night.

Day 2: Packed our stuffs for expedition into backpacks that angmohs carry around when they are doing backpack travelling (bei bao lu xing you know :D) The bags were really 123456 ___ heavy (Hahah, I don't know what unit I can use to measure all these heavy bags) & Chai jia's really a god-sent wonder in packing bags, she can make practically everything compact. Stopped by on our way to campsite1 for this stretcher game which we had to bring this stretcher with this imaginary pregnant lady represented by 16 water bottles to the other side of the platform which was also KK hospital. Picture a scene whereby Eugene calls Min Le noob almost every 5 minutes, Min Le getting all crazy telling everyone what to do, Jin Feng doing his famous koala crawl, Jun Cheng parading around with his batik print pants (which remind me of Indonesian girls) and that pretty sums up all the hilarious stuff that can happen within just one activity. After we reached campsite1, we did thrust (trust) fall and belaying. No Naf for the day as she was down with eye infection, Nadiah instead :D And it was really like ascending up to paradise when we climbed the stairs up to our canteen for dinner. How everyone longed for a taste of fresh food and syrup drinks! :D Simply Bagus! And it was also today when min le taught chai jia the powerful string of cantonese words which she constantly says to me. (MIN LE, YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE TAUGHT HER THAT :X)

Day3: Had paradise food for breakfast in "paradise" again. Milo tasted really good! Climbed inverse tower which proved to be a test of trust and cooperation for every pair climbing. Thanks Wei En for lending me a helping hand up that 20m high structure :D Land expedition up next where I really understood truely what it means by " When the going gets tough, the tough gets going". This saying couldn't be more true. Seeing everyone breaking out in sweat, carrying our crazily heavy backpacks and tent bags, downing many gulps of water, the land expedition which was around 15 km long could be clearly defined as exhausting. And it couldn't be much more motivating when we managed to complete the stone game in such a short period of time. 6 consecutive times of catching our stones in 6 mins (Battuta, power!) Not to forget quotes stuck at trees which kind of spurred everyone on. Like what Naf said, words can really make or break a person. And the feeling of reaching the top of ubin was really undescribable. Sense of relief coupled with joy I guess, to be able to see the breathtaking view which laid right before your eyes after hiking for such a long way. The resounding echoes we heard up on the top sort of pushed us on to continue enduring and persevering. Finally, Jin Meng, our wonderful navigator managed to bring us to our campsite. Settled for a short briefing for our sea expedition before we pitched our tents and started cooking. And the curry noodles really made my stomach churn. Nonetheless, every meal was like a gift to me even though it was not some delectable good food. Woke up for sentry duty later in the night where Chai Jia was high on peeing (LOL) Then there was Father bollah who was deep in thought, worried for next day's sea expedition.

Day4: Sea expedition was really enjoyable! The whole expedition seemed to be injected with so much life and doses of happiness. It was really fun kayaking with my partner Wei En. Chasing up with the waves and cracking up silly jokes to stay awake. It was nice seeing Min Le trying to get everyone sing to help boost team morale up. ( All the way Batustone!) There was Chai Jia and Wenjie who had their heads wrapped up with towels and a cap on top and they looked so alike. It would be good if there was a snapshot of both of them kayaking. One looked like those that went door to door to spray mosquito repellent and the other looked like someone's who's in charge of bee hives. Not to forget Jin Meng (Jin Mei a.k.a golden plum) and Joey who were really funny too. And then there was Chai jia's wonderful orange bread plus cocktail sausages which were thrown around. After kayaking for arnd 13 km in 5 plus hours, we tugged our kayaks ashore and washed our paddles. Jetty jump lastly(: Naf told us the story about the egg, coffee bean and the carrot and that pretty summed up the end of our land and sea expedition. Later in the night, Jin Feng was really funny when our watch gathered and reflected on the day's activities. He suddenly popped out a question which had no link to what we were supposed to answer. "Is it alright if I experience the floor trembling after kayaking for long hours?" My my Jin Feng, it's no wonder why you are so cute and funny :D

"How would you chose to react in times of adversities? Would you be like a carrot which seems strong, but wilt and loses strength in times of pain and adversity? Or an egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Or would you be like a coffee bean which actually changes the hot water - the very circumstances that bring the pain, exuding the fragrance and flavor of the bean when immersed in hot water? "

Day 5: Washed stuffs and tidied up the store. Then it was the long planned traditional activity where the guys went to pillar Elton. Did our last activity where each of us dived for the bell and spoke of something which we want to commit to in life. Then we were presented with our certificates. Bought OBS tees, took photographs and the boat ride back to punggol jetty marked the end of OBS. After that, our watch went to Compass Point to have KFC. Oh how great the food and drinks tasted, wondrous food I must say! :D And then, it was a good long bath and hibernation mode back at home.

Mixed feelings I must say. As much as how glad I am to be back in civilisation, there's this something about OBS, the wonderful people which made up this special watch (BATTUTA!) that really made me miss OBS alot. OBS blues I guess. No matter what, this has been a really unforgettable experience and I've never regretted coming for it. Given a second chance, I would still choose to be in this great watch of mine: Battuta(: Thanks to all, instructors and Battuta-ians! No matter how cheesy this may sound, you guys have made the whole OBS experience fruitful and it will remain forever as a living memory in me. Cheers to all the times of fun and laughter, moments of fatigue and desperation and together as one watch, we have gone a long way. :D

Putting holes in happiness, we'll paint the future black

Beginning with a mental note (Fionna, you should really watch your food intake) Ok, I promise a balance in my diet in the future, with just the right amount of greens and and browns (chocolates(: ) and junk. After the attack of 2 merciless ulcers which refuse to give way for a speedy recovery, I've made up my mind to really watch what I eat the next time. I guess that's the true meaning of "Once bitten, twice shy".

Went to the doctor on thursday & I was given antibiotics and some gel for my ulcers.
I must say the gel really worked for my ulcers. Though it didn't have any immediate healing effects for my ulcers, it at least helped to make my lips less swollen. A few days back, I swear my lips were swollen to the extent of it being all puckered up like a yellow duck.

Today was great! At least Sundays weren't spent with any tinge of regret or melancholy. I must say that the cds performance was really great! Good acting skills, with just the right amount of emotion drummed in, enough to make you feel for the characters. Just like what Juwel said, their performances kind of revolve around the genre of hapiness,anger,doldrums and joy.

After that, we managed to grab a quick bite at bugis junction. Toast was not bad. However, service=horrid. And in the train, Juwel went crazy wacking her phone.
Hahah, cheers to the birth of BATH! :D

Oh, how I crave for the food ate together with Ha-Ha queen. Cheesy hotdog dipped in mashed potato sauce, fried mars balls and a subway meal :D Oh yeah,(watch food intake! no more frequent consumption of indulgent food!)

Haven't been touching this thing for quite some time.
School's in tomorrow & I'm beginning to feel the Monday blues already.
Sunday, the last day of freedom
Guessed this June holidays ended quite fruitful (or so it may seem)
Waking up on late mornings and snuggling under my comfy blanket.
Reading a book and taking sips of hot coffee.
Rushed mornings as I zoom off to school.
(Funny it may seem) but I'm glad for the activities that keep me occupied this holiday or else I'll find myself lazing around at home, dreaming of food all day.
The month of June has been jolly and good! (Tis' the season to be jolly, fa-la-la-lalalaaa)Holidays were spiced up by the queue for donuts together with Chai Jia, hunt for cheap buys together with Perle and the surprise celebration of Chai Jia's birthday.

Chai Jia has finally turned fifteen! Go girl! Since you like dogs so much, perhaps it's time we set up a dog fund one day to raise funds for you to own a dog(: Hoped you liked the surprise we celebration we planned for you!

Queuing donuts with Chai Jia was fantabulous. Double chocolate donuts make my day! So tasty that I just can't stop indulging them. White chocolate on the top with sinful, rich chocolate filling inside. Awesome! Perfect for the sweet tooth(: The donut queue was inching here and there like a snake. It was divided into 3 sections & by the time we reached nearer to the donut shop, we were beaming with joy like idiots :D

Today was slacking around at Wan Ying's place.
Our initial plan was to finish up our GEMS project but I guess we didn't accomplish much too.
Fiddled around with 02 jam which I haven't played for ages.
We had this really filling macs dinner with super abundant fries, twos bags full I think.
Back to school in around 6 hrs time

17th April; Ben & Jerry's Free Cone day

Really a great deal not to be missed!
Thankfully the queue which inched like a snake moved pretty fast
At first the news that came to me was that Ben&Jerry's was giving free icecream, then I heard free cones, then finally back to free icecream again

Fionna: Aye Perle, you know today giving out free ben&jerry's ice-cream?
Perle: No lah, cannot be giving out free ice-cream. Free cones only, then you got to buy the scoop of ice-cream yourself
Fionna: (Kind of disappointed :X )

Lol, dots... Thank goodness the free cone deal didn't come true (:

Anyway, Chocolate chip cookie dough was great! Not to mention other yummy flavours like sticky chewy chocolate fudge.

Then Thursday was chinese mugging at pasir ris library with 3A muggers :D
Was chased out from in between the bookshelves where we sat, then we moved on to Galilee Cafe.
In a sense, I was quite glad that we got chased out cos if not, we would not have gone on to Galilee Cafe where we got so tempted by the brownie and yummy cakes there

Fast forward to Saturday where it was tuition in the afternoon and night
Met Perle & Chaijia for Kobayashi & bubble tea after that
Behaving like retards again and Chaijia was really funny with her purple flower
Amelia joined us shortly then.
Felt determined to buck up for physics & the teacher was really nice enough to give us an extra lesson on kinematics. Thanks Mr Tan!

Sunday

Went for the Earth Day thing which turned out to be pretty okay
Had a first hand experience on planting mangrove plants.
& We could all feel our feet sink into the muddy mangrove swamps as we trudged along the muddy paths.

After that, it was lunch at macs before we headed off to the library to study chem.
Had quite a troublesome afternoon, considering the fact that we get chased out almost wherever we go.
Got chased out from macs, then from in between the shelves in the library. Poof!
& as we were in the midst of studying, Amelia's sole from her shoe came out while trying to chase after jia jie.
But thankfully with the use of thumb tack & uhu glue, she manged to get her sole back in place.

Dinner with Perle & Sk marked the end of the day.
Had a dinner which was made full by laughter i guessed.
There was non-stop laughter and the conversations were downright hilarious
We got worried about the food we were having for dinner and started linking them with diseases that we might contract in the future.
Then, we started going crazy and thought of the possible diseases that's going to strike us soon

"Coke is unhealthy leh, carbonated drinks contains sugar, oh yah, carbon dioxide also leh. Then we drink already will kena diabetes right?

"We dip food in chilli, chilli got benzoic acid right? Then alot of acids in our stomach, doesn't that cause gastric?"

"Oh yah, actually we eat fruits not healthy one leh. The fruits that we eat in are grown with fertiliser. Fertiliser contains chemicals. Chemicals will react with our body right, then fruits not that healthy after all wat."

"The rice that we eat comes from wheat plants. Wheat plants are grown in soil together with fertiliser. Fertiliser also contains chemicals which are harmful for our body. Doesn't that make rice harmful too?"

"I very worried that I'll get heart attack leh. It's like the fast food is full of fats. Then isn't our arteries going to be clogged up with countless fats? Die, gonna get heart attack soon!"

"I hear high-frequency sounds leh. Do you all hear it? Is something wrong with my ears?"

Lol, we really had a good laugh during dinner while fretting over potential diseases.
Probably the last post before the myes, really got to hit the books.

Weekends gone in a flash once again
Glad that not much fast food was consumed this week(:
Can really imagine the fats that's going to be clogged up in my body if I have fast food all day long.
But sometimes I can't help it too, cos I tend to have sudden cravings for food like long john's & bubble tea :D

Saturday was indeed a drained-out one
Went to meet up with amelia, chaijia and perle to take physics mock test after maths tuition
Kobayashi for dinner after that!

Too drained out of energy I guess.
While waiting for tuition, we sat down and started singing
& I guess we were kind of loud cos apparently some of the tuition friends
lifted the curtains and were stealing glances out of the window.
We were acting all retarded, doing spastic actions and when we saw kampong kia looking out of the window, all of us had a good laugh till our stomachs ached so badly, haha

Thursday was shopping for bbq stuff together with amelia, chaijia, perle, sk & junzhi before we headed to Mr Mok's house. We chatted at his place for a while before he showed us around. & we discovered that Mr Mok actually visits blogs!

Then came Friday's long awaited 3A bbq :D
What more could I say? 3A's bbq was superb! :D
We started off with games at the carpark while waiting for the others to arrive.
Running around on hot ground without shoes in search of candies.

Then came the long awaited bbq. Lots of tasty food like stingray, chicken wings, prawns, hotdogs, corn, crabmeat, satay, nachos dipped in salsa sauce & the all-time-favourite marshmallows! The two cadbury bars that we bought were melted under the scorching sun. Marshmallows dipped in melted chocolate is really sinful indulgence! & not to forget the marinated chicken wings and stingrays and prawns in sizzling belachan, shiok!

this is what I call using chocolate to it's maximum potential :D

& we were busy ponding people into the pool too. If you were sitting near the pool just a little offguard, off you go :D

After stoning for 40 minutes, deciding where to go, we finally settled with tm. & just shortly before we left, two blurpoks amelia & perle were pushed into the pool once again, hahah.

Then we played many rounds of monkey at tm's open space before we chilled out at the air-conditioned room nearby. & the security guard actually went to the extent of switching off the lights to shoo us out. Boohoo! Our day couldn't have been more worse with security guards around :X

This is really one memorable good friday! & of course, the most organised bbq I've been to(: Thanks Mr Mok for letting us have such an enjoyable & memorable fun time! Gan xie nin! :D

April Fool's today, got pranked again like usual :D
Juwel told me that she was admitted into the hospital.
At first, I really thought it was true.
Then after much thought, I guessed that it was one of her april fool's tricks.
Just before I wanted to tell her that I realised it, she wished me happy april fool's day.
YOU GO GIRL! :D hahaha

Then not long later, my mom's friend told me that the old granny staying next door fell down.
Only to find out that it was another lame trick again. Haha, but I'm glad that I didn't fall for my sister's trick at least. One of those silly messages reading: Quick call me! I've got bad news about you. & then if the person was smart enough to scroll down, the april fool's msg is actually at the bottom(:
A pity April Fool's day is not on a school day, if not it'll be so much fun pranking teachers & friends and seeing all the comical responses of theirs.

Caught Mr Bean's Holiday. The storyline was lame, but it's a good old funny movie to destress. Rowan Atkinson's retarded actions never fail to make people laugh. It was really funny the way how some people just burst out laughing in the cinema. Movie was short though, but I guess all comedies are short if not there's not much of a lasting funny effect. Thumbs-up for Mr Bean & not to forget the small boy, Max Baldry! :D

Tuition on Saturday night was really funny! All of us wore black & we looked like some emo gang. Then had kfc for "supper" & came up with some really cool ingenious funny ideas, waiting to be implemented! :D WAY TO GO MAN! :D

Then it was out with Perle today :D Both of us felt really relaxed as we walked around. Tasty hotdogs, good reads, window shopping! (:

Lerkthai with family last week was great! There was this cool pandan drink which I really enjoyed. & not to forget the yummy food! Ok, this shall not be a post on food again or else I'm just going to bore myself out :X

& Here I am, desperately struggling to stay awake as my eyelids are batting. Mrs Field's chewy fudge cookies will do the job! I hope by indulging in a few more, I can stay awake for a longer while, hahah.

Weekends are here & gone in a flash
Monday blues tomorrow again
But on a positive note, going to school isn't that bad after all
Not at least with the crazy bunch of kiddos in my class, haha :D
Guess this weekends didn't turned out that fruitful after all
Everything seems to pass in the blink of an eye

Changing appetites on friday was great!
With funny people like graci,leeying & wenjia
Two rich scoops of ice-cream on your waffle is definitely enough to make one disgusted.
& not to forget the backward-moving train
Then Saturday was tuition day once again with two spastic kids, perle & amelia! :D
Chaijia, we're waiting for you to join us next week(:
& zibi people seriously rule, right perle & amelia?

Ok, press rewind to the start of the week where we ate fast food like almost everyday.
I think if I were to continue this routine of eating fast food for the rest of the weeks of my school life, I will be rolling out of school like a big fat pig, kickin' & alive, hahah.
& then there were days which we tried to drive pat wong mad by answering yes to whatever she said and pretending to raise our hands up when we ended up scratching our heads, lol.
& when we asked Mr Mok where's his favourite hangout, he told us it was home :D

I guess school life's not that mundane after all(:

Wonderful sushi feast on Friday! Sort of a 3a outing cum bonding session though only 10 people turned up in the end. Eat, eating ,ate :D Hahah, we rushed for the food when we reached there cos all of us were super duper hungry. Then ate till our stomachs going to piak. The size of sakura and the food variety there were a little disappointing though. Must go for larger scale ones like KUSHINBO! :D K-box was just beside sakura & we were sooo tempted to go but there's always lack of vitamin M. Their cakes like the chocolate truffle & new york cheese cake are very yummy, I must say(: Then there was the ni-wo-ta game we played which turned out to be very fun. The one who says ni-wo-ta has to eat the food that we took. The game turned out to be real excting cos every word we say is like a bomb that's gonna explode anytime. Ended up singing songs with lots & lots of ni-wo-ta & each time we sing one phrase, we must think twice whether we should say the next word. Lao shu ai da mi was a total killer man. Almost every line had the taboo words. Then we played the english version too, with taboo words of all the pronouns. When the lady started pulling the shutters, we knew it was sort of like a way to "chase" us out indirectly so we left in the end.

Then we started walking around in search for a place to sit down & talk, roaming around like juvenile delinquents. Got bored and decided to take the lift up & down, lol. Then settled for a couple of shots & sayonora everyone! :D Fun-filled outing I must say & I'm sure there are more coming :)

School's reopening tmr. Hope I don't have any monday school blues.

Went town with spastic laugher, chai jia on Saturday.

Wanted to queue for donuts but got super discouraged after looking at the length of the queue.

Settled for fried mars bars & cheesy chilli chicken.

Walked round raffles city looking for a seat, then settled in one corner indulging in our food

People who walked past us looked at us as tho' we were beggars, lol
Then we got our pens from this cool bookshop which was really nice.

& Chaijia was so tempted to buy everything there.

Left shortly after that.

On a sidenote, Raffles City's such a great food heaven!

Chaijia looks so happy with her fried mars bar! :D

They look good but I shall be anti against them for the next

few days to come :x

Supposed to go out with Grace, Juwel & Perle on Sunday.

Made it to city hall, but felt super nauseous along the way

Came back in the end after juwel & perle had their breakfast at bk

There were so many people queuing up for donuts even before the shop opened.

& it's funny why, but when I smelt the smell of fried mars bars and cheesy chilli chicken came floating into my mind, it made me feel like vomitting even more.

& the minute I reached home, I dropped dead on the bed & didn't woke up till 2 plus hours later.

Sunday was this bad day when I had body aches all over & felt super weak.

My appetite was really bad till I vomitted.
It's like each time I thought about food, especially the CHEESY CHILLI CHICKEN, I felt like vomitting even more. 14 pieces of that must be too much :x

I SWEAR I'M NOT GOING TO THINK ABOUT FOOD ANYMORE FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS!

& I shall be anti-fried-mars-bars-cum-cheesy-chilli-chicken for the next few days to come

I have this sudden urge of driving away in a volkswagen beetle :D

Red buggies are hot & sexy!

White beetles, such fine classic symbols of purity

Driving in a yellow beetle brings happy feelings & reminds me of sunshine!

Green beetles are still the best! What a beautiful sensation(:

This week has been quite thought-provoking

Hmm, how should I put it? Challenging yet tough I guess

Weeks ahead will definitely be better! :D

With happy & gleeful stuff like a K-box outing perhaps :D
